Analyst

Business discovery. This page is for the person running the project — enter the password to continue. (People answering questions don't sign in; they use the personal link you send them.)

Where do I find the password?
  1. Click this link: the app's settings page on Render (the company hosting this app). It opens in a new tab; sign in to Render if asked.
  2. It shows a table of rows: find the row named ADMIN_TOKEN.
  3. At the right end of that row, click the copy icon (two overlapping squares). Don't try to select the dots with your mouse — use the icon.
  4. Come back to this tab, click the password box, press Cmd-A, then Cmd-V, and click Sign in.

Analyst — Admin

This page runs a discovery project end-to-end: seed the goal, invite the people, watch what the AI understands. Follow the steps top to bottom the first time; afterwards you'll mostly use steps 1 and 4.

1Project & goal prompt

  1. The pull-down below shows the project you're working on. If there is only one, it's already selected. To change its name: click Rename next to the pull-down, type the new name, click OK. To remove a project you no longer want: click Delete (it disappears from this page; its records are kept, nothing is destroyed).
  2. Click inside the large text box and explain the project as its initiator: what the future software (or report) is for, in as much detail as immediately comes to mind, in your own words. Any length is fine. This seeds the whole discovery — the AI's questioning will clarify scope first, then dig for the details a build team would need.
  3. Click the blue Save button under the box.
  4. Confirm: green "Saved." appears under the button, and above the box it now says "Last saved: version …". Red "NOT saved" = it didn't work — sign out and back in, then try again.
  5. You can come back, refine or expand this text, and press Save again any time — saving updates the current project (history is kept automatically; nothing is ever lost).

2People & personal links

Every person to be interviewed (you included) needs a personal link — no account, no password; it works on any device for a year and always resumes exactly where they left off. Everyone's answers feed the same shared understanding: what one person says shapes what the AI asks the others.
  1. To add a person: click in the Name box and type their first name. Click in the Role box and type what they do (this helps the AI ask them the right things). Click Add & get link.
  2. A grey box appears with their link. Click its Copy button, then send the link to them by text, email — however you like.
  3. Already-added people are listed in the table below. To get a fresh link for one of them (or for yourself), click New link in their row — a grey box with the link appears above the table.
  4. To answer questions yourself: click New link in your own row, click Copy, open a new browser tab, paste it in the address bar, press Enter.

3Run the conversations

What happens on the conversation page (this is what each person sees after opening their link):
  1. The page says "Analyst — [their name]". Within about 20 seconds the AI's first question appears in a light-blue bubble. The AI asks one question at a time, points out tensions with what it already knows, and never gives advice.
  2. Click in the box at the bottom ("Type your answer…"), type the answer, click the blue Send button.
  3. "thinking…" shows for 5–30 seconds, then the next question appears. Repeat as long as you like.
  4. Under each AI question there's a 👍 and 👎 (while the app is being refined). Optionally tap one per question: 👍 = good question, 👎 = poor question.
  5. To stop: just close the tab — everything is already saved. To continue later: open the same link again, on any device — it picks up exactly where it left off.
  6. When the AI has nothing left to ask it says so — but the conversation never closes; new thoughts can always be added, and the AI will have new questions when new information arrives.

4Watch what the AI understands

This shows everything the AI has extracted so far — scope, deliverable, workflows, business rules, open questions, contradictions — each item traced to what was actually said.
  1. Click the Reload button below to fetch the latest (it does not update by itself).
  2. Read through the items, grouped by category. "provisional" means only one person has said it so far.
  3. If an item is wrong: click Mark wrong next to it, type what's actually true in the small dialog, click OK. Every later question takes the correction into account.
  4. Raw JSON shows the same content in technical form — you never need it.
